Wild Bill Billington was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and grew up in San Bernardino California. His experience in the field of motor sports began at the age of 7 when he built and raced his First back street derby car, winning a first place trophy in back to back races, as well as for a trophy for best car designer in the two years he competed. He was introduced to four wheeling in the San Bernardino Mountains during this time, and began to drive in his early teens. At age 16 , Wild Bill built is first off road vehicle, a 1967 Baja Bug, and began racing with the local teens in the washes of Lytle Creek Canyon CA. It was during this time that he also learned to drive in rugged terrain compiled of mud, rock and snow which assisted him in his early off road vehicle designs.
In 1987, Wild Bill became involved in the Score Offroad series as a fabricator / chase truck driver for Mike Leslie Racing, where he helped to lead the Mike Leslie racing team to two consecutive class 7S championship titles. In the last five years Wild Bill has gained even more experience as a Rockcrawler/Fabricator/Designer/Spotter for series Such as UROC, Prorock, and the old RCCA. In the last Five years Wild Bill has not concentrated on winning competitions, but building concept cars that are functional as well as marketable in the sport of rockcrawling.
